Not too long ago, Square Enix revealed that they were working on a Final Fantasy VII port for the PlayStation 4. Rumors have begun to surface that Final Fantasy VII is not being ported, but being entirely remade for the PS4.
Sources close to Square Enix are claiming that the Final Fantasy VII remake will use "a more modern art style for cloud," making him more similar in appearance to his appearance in Dissidia Final Fantasy or Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.
The game is a celebration of the 20th anniversary for Final Fantasy VII.
Oddly enough, not to be a downer, the CEO of Square Enix said that releasing a remake would "destroy the Final Fantasy franchise." That was in regards to the game being made and released back in 2012, three years later with tons of games being remade and selling well… They might be loking at things differently now.
