Rumor: GTA 5 PC release in ‘early 2014’

If rumors are true, the 600,000 users who have signed the petition to bring Grand Theft Auto 5 to PC are about to be very happy. According to "multiple industry sources" who have spoken to Eurogamer, a PC version of GTA 5 will be available in early 2014.

The sources have indicated a release during the first quarter of 2014 for the blockbuster hit which release on Xbox 360 and PS3 in mid-September. The idea is to mirror the release of Grand Theft Auto 4, which launched on PS3 and Xbox 360 in April 2008 before hitting PC in December 2008. If Rockstar follows a similar plan, we can expect GTA 5 on PC sometime in May — which isn't technically in the first quarter.  So it seems we have our first crack in the rumor mill.

Rockstar has yet to officially announce plans for a PC version of their game which has generated over $1 billion in sales on current-gen consoles while breaking multiple Guinness World Records. However, the company's track record, along with various other rumors, seem to suggest the game will eventually come to PC. The big question is when….?
