Rumor: March PS Plus games include Dead Nation for PS4, Tomb Raider for PS3 (Europe)

We're only halfway through February and already our eyes are on March's PlayStation Plus offerings. Ah, so goes the gaming industry where we're always looking ahead and never happy with the present. GamePointsNow, the same site that correctly leaked February's free PlayStation Plus games for Europe, is back — and this time they've got the scoop with March's supposed PS Plus games for Europe.

The site claims Dead Nation, Housemarque's top-down shoot 'em up, will be the free PlayStation 4 title next month. What's odd is that neither Sony nor Housemarque have even announced a PS4 port of the 2010 PSN title. Back in September of last year, Housemarque did tease that a Dead Nation game would be coming to PS4, but it was thought to be an entirely new game, not a port. Seeing as how we're just two weeks away from March and we've heard absolutely nothing about this game on the PS4, I have a hard time believing it'll be free next month.

The PlayStation 3's offerings at least sound a bit more believable. Tomb Raider and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons are expected to the the PS3's free games. Brothers has already been offered stateside so I can definitely see it being one of next month's free games in Europe. Tomb Raider is believable as well, but I'm not 100% sold on it. Square Enix just released Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition for PS4, so I'm not sure they'd want to cut into potential sales by giving the last-gen version away for free. Then again, the PS3 version will be a year old in March so there's a chance it could be offered.

Lastly, Vita owners will get Smart As and Pixeljunk Monsters Ultimate HD. Again, U.S. Vita owners already saw Smart As released for free in January, so this is definitely believable.

Remember, none of this has been confirmed by Sony so it should be treated as nothing more than speculation or rumor.
