Apparently, Nintendo short baking the NES Mini worked out well enough for them to do it to the Nintendo Switch. A new rumor from an insider at GameStop has suggested that the Switch will be a challenge to find.
According to a report from GoNintendo, a source close GameStop has revealed that the Nintendo Switch might be a hard console to grab if you don't pre-order it. The insider revealed that a majority of GameStop stores will have around 20 units to sell at launch – which means that if you want the console, you'll have to pre-order it.
GameStop employees don't know all the details on the Nintendo Switch pre-orders yet, so the insider didn't have more information on the Switch beyond the console being in short supply at launch.
Of course, other retailers will have the Switch on hand (like Walmart, Target, and Best Buy), so there's always more opportunities to grab the console without a pre-order. It's been suggested that the Switch will be around $249 and will release in March.
