Rumor: Red Dead Redemption 2 off-screen screenshot leaked

OH BOY.

Update: It's actually an image of Wild West Online, an open world PvP MMO that actually looks pretty awesome. It will be hitting Kickstarter at the end of the month (and is being created because the wait for Red Dead Redemption to release on PC got tiring).

Original:

Red Dead Redemption 2 has been listed as one of the games that will showcase the true power of Xbox's Project Scorpio and while we have yet to see much on the game, besides a confirmation of its existence and a trailer, there's hope that E3 will give us something to look at.

In the meanwhile, an anonymous user has posted any image on the GTA Forums (via Reddit) with no claim other than it being "something interesting." The image is a screenshot that was taken off-screen, which accounts for the colors being a bit off, but it looks quite a bit like Red Dead Redemption 2.

The GTA Forums have seen leaks before – it was the home of the GTA V submersible leak in May 2013.

While some suggest that the image could be from the Red Dead Redemption mod that was in the work for Grand Theft Auto V (it was canceled), this image does not showcase a map from the original game – which removes that theory from the table.

Others suggest that the game's initial trailer proves that the image is real, citing the character's pose in the forefront. Apparently, the crossed arms, crossed legs and lean is in the trailer.

We will probably be seeing more of Red Dead Redemption 2 (because it releases this year).
