Thanks to the ever present fanbase of sleuths, it was found that Sony's PlayStation Store had a listing of the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series which was accompanied by a release date.
The Season Pass (which is usually how Telltale games are sold) has a release date of April 18. This would meld well with the release of the movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 which will be in theaters later in the month.
Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series is based on the comics from Marvel, as opposed to the upcoming movie, though many fans are already able to separate continuities with the existing Marvel Cinematic Universe and the comic lines.
Naturally, this wouldn't be considered a solid release date, but it does make sense, and it gives us a window to aim for. Official details on Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series will be at GameZone as we find out more. Want a look at the how the game's characters will appear? Check it out here!
