Rust developer receives Xbox One dev kits

Rust and Garry's Mod developer, Garry Newman, revealed today that he has received his Xbox One dev kits. Now I don't want to read too much into this, but with ID@Xbox supporting Unity Engine and Rust running on the Unity Engineā€¦ well, can you put one and one together?

Rust is often compared to Bohemia Interactive's survival game DayZ, probably because it too aims to create a "hostile environment in which emergent gameplay can flourish." And flourish it has. Since the its release through Steam Early Access, Rust has racked up over one million sales.

Nothing has been confirmed but with ID@Xbox looking to bolster its indie game lineup, Garry Newman could be a valuable partner. Based purely on the game's success on PC so far, I could definitely see it flourishing on Xbox One.
