Ruthless Game of Thrones character cast for Season 6

Euron Greyjoy, the hot-tempered uncle of Theon, has been cast for Game of Thrones Season 6.

Reported first by WatchersOnTheWall, and then confirmed by Variety, Euron will be played by Danish actor Pilou Asbæk (Lucy, The Borgias) in the upcoming season of Game of Thrones.

For those unfamiliar, Euron, also known as Crow's Eye for the patch he wears over his left eye, is uncle to both Theon and Yara, and younger brother to Lord Balon Greyjoy. Like most Greyjoy's he's ruthless, scheming, and a bit of an a**hole. But he's also an extremely skilled warrior so brutal that his ship, nicknamed "Silence," is crewed entirely by mutes whose tongues have been ripped out by Euron himself.

While Euron has already appeared in George R.R. Martin's novels, he's yet to be seen on the show. I'm sure he'll have quite the debut.

Pilou Asbæk joins Ian McShane (unknown role) and Max von Sydow, who will play Bran Stark's mystical tutor the Three-Eyed Raven, as newcomers in Game of Thrones Season 6. And still no word on Jon Snow…
