Nintendo announced a slew of DLC that's actually available right now for both versions of Super Smash Bros. Series creator, Masahiro Sakurai, confirmed both Roy and Ryu as new fighters for the game, and of course, the question is, will gamers ever be able to collect either of these in their shrunken down plastic forms?
Yes.
Near the end of the segment, Sakurai confirmed that both Roy and Ryu amiibo are being developed, and will join the roster of other amiibo releases.

Sakurai also confirmed that eventually every single fighter in the game will have his corresponding amiibo, so start saving now people. That's a lot of money, and a lot of patience, considering Nintendo seems to still be having shortage problems with a lot of their amiibo figures.
