Bungie announced today that Salvage will be returning to the Crucible playlist this weekend, starting today and running through Monday, September 29. Finally, those Salvage bounties that you've been teased with these past few days can finally be completed. Of course, the troll that Destiny is probably isn't offering it this weekend (I haven't checked, feel free to correct me).
Salvage was first introduced earlier this month, the first weekend Destiny was available. It's kind of like a King of the Hill type mode where you fight to claim and salvage relics. Basically, you go to a specifically marked spot on the map, deploy your Ghost, and then defend it for like 45 seconds. "Secure the relics. Disrupt enemy probes. Destroy the opposition," the description reads. Like last time, rewards for participating in Salvage include Crucible Gear, Crucible Marks, and Crucible Reputation.
In addition to reintroducing Salvage today, Bungie also announced that The Iron Banner, a special Crucible event, will begin on October 7. Check out all the details here.
