‘Samurai Jack’ revival gets March premiere date; Season five to be 10 Episodes

JACK IS BACK.

Over the summer we got our first look at the 'new' Samurai Jack, a revival of the series that originally premiered in 2001 and ran until 2004, where is was canceled after four seasons. The show's creator Genndy Tartakovsky tried to get a feature-length movie about Samurai Jack in production but failed.

Luckily, Adult Swim agreed to let a fifth season run and it's coming March 11th, at 11:30 pm ET!

The fifth season will pick up 50 years in the future from the original series and will feature a "darker, more theatrical" tone. The show's revival was intended to premiere in Summer 2016, but was pushed back for one reason or another.

Season five will be 10 episodes long.
