Scorpion joins the Injustice: Gods Among Us roster on June 11

Scorpion is set to enter the world of Injustice: Gods Among Us on June 11, Warner Bros. Interactive announced today. The infamous Mortal Kombat character raise some eyebrows when it was first announced that he would join the cast as a downloadable character. Why not use the spot on a legit DC character?

Scorpion actually has a bit more in common then I thought when it comes to comic books; to help clarify, Mortal Kombat creator Ed Boon and DC Comics' creative co-lead Jim Lee have a new video explaining why this unstoppable warrior is perfect for Injustice: Gods Among Us, and what went into the new redesign of the iconic character.

Scorpion will be available on Xbox LIVE for 400 MS Points and PSN for $4.99. The initial trailer for Scorpion also revealed the next potential downloadable character, Martian Manhunter.
