The fan favorite Marvel show, Daredevil, that has been airing exclusively on Netflix since 2014 has been a hit with fans and critics alike and has helped pave way for other Marvel shows on the streaming platform. The character that kicked it all off has had two very strong seasons with brutal action scenes and dark stories and will soon be joining other B-team Marvel characters on a new Netflix show called The Defenders. Daredevil's second season left a lot of stories unfinished and it appears Netflix attends to finish them.
At San Diego Comic-Con today, Marvel announced a third season of the blind crime fighter's TV show alongside a plethora of other annoucements and reveals including trailers for the upcoming Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and even a small teaser for The Punisher spin-off series. Not many other details were given about the third season but one can only assume we will see Daredevil go toe-to-toe with Elektra once again as well as face new threats from Kingpin and other Daredevil villains.
No specific date was given for the return of the series other than 2017. If previous seasons are anything to go by we could see the show return as early as next spring around April or May.
