SDCC 2016: Warner Bros. unveils a Comic Con exclusive ‘Suicide Squad’ trailer

Thank Squad the wait is almost over!

Warner Bros. unveiled a San Diego Comic Con exclusive trailer for the upcoming 'Suicide Squad'. Check it out above!

It goes without saying, at this year's Comic Con, both Marvel and DC had enough content to truly go head to head. With Marvel unleashing updates on 'Doctor Strange' and 'Spider-Man', and DC throwing down 'Justice League' and 'Wonder Woman' footage, the famed Hall H panel was buzzing with excitement. As a part of Warner Bros.' media arsenal, they graced the fans in attendance with a Comic Con exclusive trailer for the upcoming ensemble adventure, 'Suicide Squad'.

The trailer seems to give away a pretty major plot point almost immediately. It seems that whatever the mission Task Force X was sent on, may have gone south, based on Deadshot's (Will Smith) bar toast with the rest of the gang:

"Here's to honor among thieves. We almost pulled it off, despite what everybody thought. They're gonna blame us for the whole thing. We're the patsies. Don't forget…we're the bad guys."

It sounds like whoever they were sent to take down, probably got the upper hand at some point in the plot. In any case, the rest of the trailer used clips and soundbites to "remix" the footage. We get to see more in terms of the climax of the movie, as well as some new clips featuring Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney) for the most part, which the other trailers were lacking.

Suicide Squad releases August 5th!
