Sega used their aptly named “Road to 2020” business presentation to reveal their plans for the next few years. One of these plans involves creating "titles that will become global hits." To get to their goal of having "global hits" Sega will be reviving "major IPs" – as well as expand the platforms (mobile, game consoles, and PC) of existing IPs, new IPs, and external IPs.
Under the “Segment Goal / Business Strategies” section of the presentation, Sega outlined the following major points in the digital games and packaged games fields:
Packaged Games Field (pictured examples: Total War: Warhammer, Yakuza 6: The Song of Life, Football Manager 2017, and Persona 5)
Digital Games Field (pictured examples: Puyo Puyo!! Quest, Hortensia Saga, Chain Chronicle 3, and Phantasy Star Online 2)
No hint on which games would be revived were found in the presentation.
