Shadow Complex developer hopeful for a sequel ‘when the time is right’

Shadow Complex developer Chair Entertainment has told GameSpot earlier this week that they “hope to return to the Shadow Complex series” with a sequel when the “time is right.”

"We certainly love Shadow Complex. As much as there are fans out there that want more Shadow Complex, I promise they don't want it more than we do," Co-founder and creative director Donald Mustard told GameSpot. "We want it more than anyone. When the time is right, we sure hope to return to the Shadow Complex series."

The original title was released in 2009 exclusively on Xbox LIVE Arcade where it surpassed 200,000 copies sold in its first week. A sequel seemed imminent, but Chair Entertainment had to shift its focus in 2011 when Epic Games asked them to work on iOS best-seller, Infinity Blade.

"Shadow Complex 2 is sitting there, it's actually largely designed, we just need to find a partner that will help us to finish it so we can bring it to market," Bleszinski told Gamasutra in September of 2011.

“When the time is right” seems to be where the big question for a possible sequel to Shadow Complex comes in to play. Will Chair Entertainment ever release a Shadow Complex 2? Let us know your opinion by commenting below.
