Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse pushed back ‘a couple more months’

Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse needs a little more time on the open seas.

WayForward Technologies announced today over Twitter that the 3DS platformer, a follow-up to Shantae: Risky's Revenge from 2010, needs "a couple more months" in development so it can put on a few more finishing touches.

That puts the release sometime after March.

The developer is also working on a fourth Shantae game, Half-Genie Hero, which earned twice its crowdfunding goal on Kickstarter and pulled in over $800,000.
