The Star Wars spinoff film Rogue One was announced in March when Star Wars: Episode VIII got its official release date and since then we have only been heard various tidbits of information on the film. As far as we know Gareth Edwards (Monsters, Godzilla) is set to direct the film with Chris Weitz (Cinderella) writing the script.
Sherlock actor Jonathan Aris has revealed that he has been cast in the upcoming Star Wars Anthology film, joining Felicity Jones – the only other actor that is officially on the roster. The reveal came through an update on Aris' Spotlight page. The update was deleted shortly after BBC News came across it, but not deleted soon enough to get away without a screenshot.
According the the update, Aris is set to play Senator Jebel.
Star Wars: Rogue One is set between the third (Revenge of the Sith) and fourth (A New Hope) films in the core Star Wars saga, and revolves around "a rogue band of resistance fighters who unite for a daring mission to steal the Death Star plans and bring new hope to the galaxy."
