Show me the money! Diablo 3 real-money auction house launches in Europe

In the midst of a worldwide financial crisis, Blizzard has come to the rescue by providing millions a chance to earn additional income. The Diablo 3 real-life auction house has officially launched in Europe today after going live in the U.S. earlier this week.

The new service now allows players to buy and sell the loot they find in Diablo 3 using actual currency from approved third-party payment services or through the Battle.net Balance.

Locating the auction house is quite easy. It's the big button in the lower left-hand side of the character campaign screen that says "auction house". From there you can switch from the in-game gold currency to the real-money currency and begin rolling in the dough – or spending your lifetime savings (which at the rate people are saving for retirement, at least in America, isn't that much).

As of right now, the real-money auction house offers equipment trading only (i.e., weapons, armor, and other such gear). Other commodities will be offered "as soon as possible". Blizzard wants to make sure that the commodity trading remains "quick, stable, and reliable" – unlike everything that launches for Diablo 3 at first.

Time for me to start my little nest egg with extra cash earned in Diablo 3.
