Although virtually every PlayStation 4 game will be playable on Sony's PlayStation Vita (via Remote Play), there's still some lingering questions regarding the handheld's ability to act as a PS4 controller. Thankfully, Sony Computer Entertainment President of Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida has clarified that PS4 games must be "specifically programmed" to utilize it.
"In normal sense, no," Yoshida responded when asked if the portable system could act as a secondary controller. "Unless a game is specifically programmed to allow such use of PS Vita."
In May, a report from Digital Foundry suggested that all PS4 games, except those that require use of the PS Eye, will be playable on the Vita with Remote Play. With Vita sales struggling, marketing the device as a sidekick to the PS4 could help Sony sell some more units.
