Side-Scrolling Shin Megami Tensei: Synchronicity Prologue Is Free on PC

Side-scrolling SMT game featuing Jack Frost and Jack Lantern? Yes please!

The Shin Megami Tensei series, developed by Atlus, has been with us for 25 years. It's hard to imagine the likes of Persona and SMT have been with us for so long. Although for many, they've been a part of us our whole gaming careers. Today, Atlus released a side-scrolling action game featuring the Shin Megami Tensei mascot: Jack Frost!

Shin Megami Tensei: Synchronicity Prologue is now available on PC for free but is only available until December 24 on the Atlus website. It's a side-scrolling action game, recently revealed during a trailer for the upcoming 3DS title Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey. The new side-scroller was developed by Den-fami Nico Game Magazine's Ladybug team, who previously worked on Pharaoh Rebirth+.

In Synchronicity Prologue, you take on the role of Jack Frost and Jack Lantern, two mainstays on the SMT series, as they make their way through the Black Forest Barth. Check out the old-school action goodness below:

Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey will be released on Nintendo 3DS on October 26 in Japan, with a North American and European release set for early 2018, Shin Megami Tensei: Synchronicity Prologue is available now for PC.
