SimCity developer diary encourages you to ‘poke, prod, and tinker’

SimCity has always been a game about creating your very own city. Of course, a game so loosely wrapped around the concept offers many ways to do so, encouraging players to "poke, prod, and tinker" at their own leisure. That's exactly what Creative Director Ocean Quigley suggests in the latest developer diary highlighting many of the exciting things Maxis is working on of late.

As the ultimate construction set, you are free to build your city however you like; although, each of your decisions and actions will not be without consequences. For that reason, you'll want to explore the different options made available to you as you play.

"SimCity is a rich, deep game with unlimited ways to play," Quigley states. "Every decision you make has a significant impact and the game constantly evolves to create a unique, dynamic experience."

Once you throw in the dynamic of other players interacting with you via the game's new multiplayer addition, you'll always be playing a new experience. Check out the developer diary above for a more in-depth look at what awaits you when SimCity releases on March 5, 2013.
