When SimCity first launched in 2013 it was met with sharp criticism from fans and media alike. From the server issues to the inability to play offline to the traffic sim logic, there was little for one to actually praise. Fast forward a year-and-a-half later, and Maxis has made some tremendous improvements. And now, they are ready for you to experience the game they originally promised.
Now, some of you may be skeptical. Understandable. So EA is offering, for the first time, a free trial for SimCity.
The four hour trial, which will end even if you are not playing at the time, grants you access to "a portion" of the single-player game. Two regions are unlocked: Cape Trinity and Reflection Atoll. You're also limited to two save slots, though these saves will automatically transfer to the full version of the game should you choose to upgrade.
For more information about the free trial, check out EA's FAQ page.
