Apple confirmed today, via invitation, a September 9th event in which the company is widely expected to introduce a new iPhone and a revamped Apple TV set-top box.
Typically, Apple's invites contain some sort of clue as to what to expect, but today's invitation only read "Hey Siri, give us a hint."
Naturally, tech enthusiasts turned to their iPhone's personal digital assistant to ask for hints. Unfortunately, she's just as cryptic as the invitation offering such responses as:
"You're cute when you're desperate for information."
"Well, I hear there's something big happening on September 9."
"The only hint I can give you right now is a hint of lime. And that there's a big announcement on September 9."
"Can you get a hint? No. You may, hwoever, get a what what."
"I can neither confirm nor deny that I am not authorized either to confirm or deny that I cannot disclose anything that you would then have to confirm. In any case, I would deny it. Got it?"
"You'll have to wait until September 9. I bet you were one of those kids who snuck downstairs to open presents early, weren't you?"
No, Siri, actually I was a good boy on Christmas. And Christmas comes September 9th for Apple owners, so stay tuned as the company reveals the next big thing next month.
