Skylanders Trap Team Dark Edition lets you play as Kaos

The Skylanders Trap Team Dark Edition — a collector's starter pack available for pre-order starting today — will allow players to trap and play as the series' biggest villain, the evil Portal Master Kaos.

Announced today alongside Activision's Comic-Con plans for the game, the Skylanders Trap Team Dark Edition includes the "Ultimate Kaos Trap," a special, larger-sized trap that allows you to capture the series' number one villain. The Dark Edition also includes two traps; black and silver variant designs of new characters Snap Shot, Wildfire and Food Fight; a two-sided collector poster; sticker sheets and trading cards.

Skylanders Trap Team Dark Edition will retail for $99 and, even better, won't be a GameStop exclusive. It'll be available for Wii U, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360.

Those attending San Diego Comic-Con this week will be able to go hands-on with Skylanders Trap Team and check out all of the other great things Activision has planned for the game, including a costume contest and a panel focused "The Creative Process of Bringing Toys to Life."
