The remaster that we are getting in the place of the Oblivion remaster will officially be releasing into the hands of Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC gamers on Friday, October 28. We are only a couple weeks out from the release date and luckily, the game is officially done with development.
That's right! Skyrim Special Edition has gone gold! On top of that good news, Bethesda has released the system specs and requirements for the game. However, it's unclear whether the storage required on Xbox One and PS4 is including the 4K resolution patch and mods or not.
Without further ado, here's what the Skyrim remaster is bringing to Xbox One and PS4:
- Mod support on consoles
- Remastered art and effects
- Volumetric lighting (“God Rays”)
- Dynamic Depth of Field
- Screen-space reflections
- New snow and water shaders
In addition to the new features, Bethesda offered a breakdown of what is required for each system the remaster is releasing on.
