Slightly Mad Studios Might Be Making a Fast & Furious Game

An Australian YouTuber named SpotTheOzzie was streaming himself playing Projects Cars 2 just before the game launched to the public. It just so happened that he got quite a prolific guest in his audience: The CEO of Slightly Mad Studios, creators of the very game he was playing. CEO Ian Bell went on to openly engage with SpotTheOzzie in a charming way.

The impromptu interview (which can be found here in full) revealed some great insight into the development of Project Cars 2. Bell even went off the cuff to admit that the game wasn't perfect, but was created masterfully with the resources they had access to, ending his statement by saying it goes wheel-to-wheel with the likes of Forza and Gran Turismo.

As impromptu as this "interview" was, Bell may have revealed more than he meant to, talking about another project that Slightly Mad Studios is working on. It doesn't take a genius to figure out what he is alluding to.

"Guess what the latest Need for Speed game is doing, and have a think about which Hollywood film they're copying. And then I can tell you we have a six year deal with that major Hollywood company that'll beat what Need for Speed is doing. For the next six years."

As if that weren't enough, he later drove it home. "If you look at me, I'm a bald guy and I work out a bit. So that's a clue."

Did Ian Bell just compare himself to Vin Diesel? From Fast & Furious?  Most likely. It's not the first time Fast & Furious has been tied into a video game, however. There was an attempt on PS2, and even a tie-in of featured cars in Forza Horizon, but could this attempt finally be a successful one? Don't be surprised if we get an official announcement sometime soon.
