Tomorrow, it will be one week since the release of Driveclub, the new PlayStation 4 exclusive racing game from Evolution Studios. While those who purchased the full retail game have been able to enjoy it — aside from the connection issues plaguing the online experience — those who were waiting to download the free PlayStation Plus Edition have been unable to do so. And it'll remain that way until the server issues have been addressed, according to Game Director Paul Rustchynsky.
Unfortunately, we don't know when that'll be. It has now been two full days since the last update from Evolution Studios in which the developer released a server update that increased the number of players racing. Even still, some functions, including challenges and social updates, are still unavailable. And until these issues are addressed, it's likely we won't see the Driveclub PS Plus Edition be made available.
On the bright side, Paul Rustchynsky did say that Evolution Studios will provide an update on the servers later today. So far the game's official Facebook page has been quiet, but we'll keep an eye out for any news.
