Aside from weekly blog posts focusing on various aspects of H1Z1, news regarding Sony Online Entertainment's zombie survival MMO — particularly its Early Access release — has been pretty sparse.
Sure, SOE has released some sneak peeks and teasers at new content coming in the game, but we've had no updates on when we can expect Early Access on PC (or PS4 for that matter, though we know it's coming after).
Sadly, I still don't have an Early Access date for you. But I do have an update on the status of the game, courtesy of SOE animator Brad Constantine's latest blog post from last week.
"On the flip side, we are crazy busy here, plugging away on the new content for Early Access," Constantine said. "Shawn and Shaun and Sarge and myself are now incorporating the new mo-cap data into the game, and it’s a lot of stuff to process."
"Hang in there just a wee bit longer, and we promise it will be worth all of the wait," he pleaded. "Remember, we are making this game just for YOU, and we won’t settle for second best when it comes to you and your FUN. Keep your feedback and new ideas coming in; we read every one we get."
In between the new content, it looks like Constantine also had some spare time to mock up what some of the wildlife in H1Z1 would look like had they been infected with the virus.
I know these are just mockups created in the spirit for Halloween, but I think it would be pretty sweet to see some infected animals roaming the world.
