If you purchased the PlayStation 4 collectors edition for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, you might have noticed that something was missing – specifically codes for the promised bonus downloadable content you spent your hard earned cash on.
Well, we have good news and bad news, we know where the codes are, but you might’ve gotten rid of them on accident.
Reports on both NeoGAF and Reddit brought enough attention to the issue that Konami noticed and took to Facebook to shed some light on where they hid those pesky codes:
“Please be aware, the PS4 Collector’s Edition of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain code for DLC was not included within the physical package during manufacturing. This issue does not affect the Day One Edition product or any other platforms.
“All customers who purchase the PS4 Collector’s Edition through the following retailers will automatically receive the DLC codes at the time of purchase on receipt or via email: Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Target, Toys R Us, Walmart, EB Games, Game Planet.”
If you’re missing your code or can’t place your receipt, contact the retailer where you purchased the game and if they are no help contact Konami customer support.
Good luck!
