Destiny’s The Taken King expansion will feature weekly activities that always reward players with Legendary or Exotic items.
The bulk of the new bounties, all of which have been streamlined to make completion easier, will still yield your standard suite of experience and materials. However, more involved weekly bounties and quests, some of which can only be unlocked by completing other activities, will offer rewards on par with Nightfall Strikes. This includes Crucible, Vanguard and Faction activities.
Completing quests and bounties will be much easier thanks to the tracking systems implemented in The Taken King. Players will be able to hold up to 16 bounties and 32 quests at a time, and can track four activites between them. Tracked abilities can be monitored from the in-game Ghost HUD, ditching inventory flicking outright. Bounties can also be completed from anywhere. No more tower-ferrying.
Prestige packages will always contain Legendary rewards in The Taken King and beyond. Better still, faction-specific items such as shaders and ships will see the same loot curation as the rest of the The Taken King—that is to say, you will not get duplicates and are more likely to get the specific items you’re after. Shaders, in particular, will have their drop rates bumped up as well.
