Sonic Forces is Basically Sonic Generations 2 Plus More

Sonic Forces was showcased in the latest Nintendo Direct. A gameplay teaser was shown off previously, but with this new video comes new information. Sonic Forces seems to essentially be Sonic Generations 2.

Two Sonics, two ways to play, just like Sonic Generations. With the lackluster response to Sonic the Hedgehog lately, a return to Generations sounds like a good idea, as it was debatably the last good Sonic game.

There's also a new ally mentioned in a very hard-to-see image. It's another hedgehog for sure, but who? It kind of looks like Shadow, but we'll let you speculate that for yourself.
