Sonic Mania is Getting a Beautiful Vinyl Soundtrack

Sega is going all out with Sonic Mania. Along with its heavy dose of nostalgia, the game is also said to have animated cutscenes to the tune of the old 90s cartoons. To add to this, Sega is also releasing a vinyl soundtrack for the game.

Bust out the old record player, and drop the needle on this sweet blue record that ironically looks like Sonic doing a spin dash. The two-disc feature includes a sleeve, featuring Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles running around Green Hill Zone, and a download code to listen to the album online when you're not near your ancient record player.

Of course, the album itself includes the many tracks from the game like Flying Battery Zone. Pre-orders start in mid-July for all editions of the LP. This includes a regular black one and the translucent blue variant, that's honestly a must have for anyone looking for the album.

Sonic Mania launches on August 15 on PC, Xbox One, Playstation 4.
