In what is arguably the most exciting announcement in today's Nintendo Direct, Satoru Iwata confirmed Sonic will return to the Super Smash Bros. roster for Wii U and 3DS.
Nintendo showed off some brief gameplay footage of the blue blur in action, but didn't really reveal detail specific movesets. Iwata teased that he was anxious to see what Sonic's speed will add to the gameplay.
