Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing sequel is happening

Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing was received quite warmly by gamers. The racer sold well, and it garnered high scores from critics. It only makes sense that Sega would want to release a sequel, right? Well, that's exactly what's happening, folks!

Some Sonic racing toys were manufactured and showcased at New York's Toy Fair. While this could just mean that they were basic figures made for the last game, that's not the case.

According to Kotaku, an attendant at the Toy Fair confirmed that Sega was planning on releasing a sequel to Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing. The game will feature new characters and vehicles, which are scheduled to be announced later this year.

Unfortunately, that's all we know so far. No specifics regarding platforms and launch date were revealed. Still, this is good news! It certainly puts me in a better mood after learning of some really stupid news earlier today.
