Due to the DDoS attacks that took down PlayStation Network for much of last week, Sony has decided to extend the PlayStation Store Flash Sale and Holiday Sale.
"We know many of you experienced issues connecting to PSN over the weekend, so in response to popular demand, PlayStation Store is extending our Flash Sale and Holiday Sale," PlayStation Store Senior Director Grace Chen announced. "There’s still time to take advantage of a lot of great games at heavily discounted prices!"
The "End of Year" Flash Sale has been extended until 12:00pm Pacific Time on December 31st. It offers a number of PS4, PS3, and Vita games at a pretty steep discount, including Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Destiny, FIFA 15, and more. The entire list of discounts can be seen here.
Meanwhile, the final week of the Holiday Sale has been extended until 12:00pm Pacific Time on January 6th. This sale also offers blockbuster games, like Grand Theft Auto V, Alien Isolation, and Battlefield, at a discounted price. You can find all the discounted games here.
Although the DDoS attacks stopped last week, PlayStation Network has still been feeling the effects. The service was down again for much of last night with little explanation as to why.
