Sony files trademark for ‘Days Gone’ game

Does the name have a 'horror' feel? Could it be Bend's game...

While the rest of us enjoyed the holidays, Sony was hard at work filing a trademark for 'Days Gone.' There are no details for the game, other than that it will have online features and that it is, in fact, a game. While the extent of how 'online' the game will be is unclear, we can happily say that Sony is cooking up a new game to announce this year (if everything works out).

Earlier this year, Sony Bend, the studio known for Uncharted: Golden Abyss, announced that they were looking to hire developers to help them "push the PS4 somewhere it’s never been before."

Nothing official was revealed about the game, but insider sources said the game was an open-world horror game that has been in full production since 2015 and will be created using the Unreal Engine 4. At the time the rumor circulated, there was hope Sony would announce the game during Paris Games Week or PlayStation Experience, but Bend's mysterious game was never revealed.

This patent could very well be Bend's new game.
