Sony prepares for PlayStation 5 pre-orders with new website

With PlayStation 5 just months away, the fever is starting. We don’t have a price, we don’t have an actual firm release date, but we have some games and we know what the console looks like. That said, seems like everything is about to fall into place.

Sony has put up a new PlayStation 5 website that allows you to sign-up to be one of the first to pre-order the console. Now, this isn’t just a simple little notification when the mad dash begins, it’s a bit different. PlayStation users can sign up with their PSN ID for a chance to be invited to pre-order the PlayStation 5 ahead a bit early.

Invitees will be selected based on your PlayStation activity and interests. This means people with higher playtime, those who have shown interest in PlayStation exclusives, and so on will likely be at a greater advantage. Once selected, users will be given a limited window to select a PlayStation 5 unit and accessories to pre-order. Of course, you still have to pay for them.

The following items will be available for pre-order:

  • 1 PS5 Console or 1 PS5 Digital Edition
  • 2 DualSense wireless controllers
  • 2 DualSense charging stations
  • 2 Pulse 3D wireless headsets
  • 2 Media remotes
  • 2 HD Cameras

So if you have a PSN account, you should head over and register ASAP. The PlayStation 5 is slated for release this holiday season.
