The PlayStation 4's ability to talk to the PS Vita — you know, with the whole remote play thing — certainly makes for an intriguing feature. Unfortunately, unless Vita sales pick up (which they have since the most recent price cut), it's a feature that may go largely unnoticed. The easiest solution is to package both the PS4 and the Vita into an affordable bundle. It's a plan many consumers have been clamoring for, but one that Sony hasn't yet announced, despite allegedly being "an easy thing to do."
"At the moment we're not thinking about a one-box solution," Sony's UK managing director Fergal Gara told CVG, before adding: "If we wanted to, it would be an easy thing to do, but we're not right now."
The big question, of course, is why not? What is Sony's reasoning behind not offering a bundle? The most logical answer would be that the PlayStation 4 certainly doesn't need any help with pre-orders. But again, this would mostly be about getting the Vita into the hands of those who may not otherwise purchase one. Then again, I suppose if you want to take advantage of Remote Play you'd be tempted enough to go out and buy a Vita on its own.
