If there's one thing you can say about the PS4's new God of War game, it's that the development team clearly has a unified vision about its artistic direction. That's the impression you get from looking at the (mostly) new pieces of concept art that the official PlayStation Twitter account posted yesterday alongside the phrase "The God of War runes have been deciphered: "Höðr's Wicked Bite."
Check it out:
One of the pieces of concept art had previously been revealed by Cory Barlog on the PlayStation Blog back in June and was referred to as the artwork that "became the beacon and lit the path" for the entire art department. As you can see, it truly rubbed off on the rest of the artists.
It's not entirely clear what "Höðr's Wicked Bite" means, though one of the images appears to have undead Viking raiders charging on Kratos and Atreus, so we might be seeing zombies. Perhaps they like the taste of the God of War.
God of War still doesn't have a concrete release date, but it is expected to drop sometime in 2018.
