It sure was nice of Sony to livestream their Gamescom press conference, but next time they may want to hire a camera man who actually knows what he's doing. Sony had plenty to show off during the conference, but those who tuned in to see it had to suffer through a shaky, unstable cam that zoomed out at all the wrong moments.
Want to see Yoshida fiddle around with the PS4's UI? The camera operator would rather zoom out to show you that the entire audience was actually watching. Want to see the latest trailer for an upcoming game? How's five seconds of trailer footage cut off by more audience shots? I don't know about you, but I love watching trailers on a giant zoomed out screen.
Shuhei Yoshida, President of Worldwide Studios, issued an apology for the issues, saying, “Leaving Cologne for Tokyo, it was a lot of fun, thank you all (and sorry for the atrocious camera work in the stream).”
While he's at it, maybe Yoshida should apologize to David Cage for falling asleep during the panel.
