Sony teases Uncharted 3 for PS4

We already know Naughty Dog is working on a new Uncharted for PlayStation 4. But what about gamers who never owned a PS3 — those who may have switched over from Xbox to PlayStation with the introduction of a new generation of gaming? Many of them have probably heard of, but never played Uncharted. But if a mysterious picture from Scott Rohde, PlayStation Software Product Development Head for Sony Worldwide Studios America, is any indication, they soon will.

Earlier today, just hours before Sony is set to take take the stage at CES 2014, Rohde tweeted an image of a giant Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception box alongside a PlayStation 4 controller. What could it mean?

Some believe the entire Uncharted trilogy is being re-mastered for PlayStation 4, while others speculate only Uncharted 3 will be coming over to the next-gen console. There's even some that would argue this means absolutely nothing and that it's nothing but a mere teaser for the new Uncharted that was revealed specifically for PlayStation 4 on the night of its U.S. launch.

Some would prefer Naughty Dog bring The Last of Us over to PS4, but I don't think they could go wrong with Uncharted either. There will clearly be a playerbase ready to experience Nathan Drake's adventures should it come.

Sony's CES 2014 press conference is being held today at 5:00pm PT (8:00pm ET) so hopefully we get some more context. In the meantime, let us know what you think of this mysterious teaser.
