Last night, IGN reported a rumor that The Last Guardian has been cancelled. The rumor, which came from an "inside source" speaking to IGN Russia claimed the information was disclosed in "Sony's internal meeting last week."
Proving that not all rumors reported by IGN are true, Scott Rohde, PlayStation Software Product Development Head for Sony Worldwide Studios America, took to twitter to laugh it off.
"[Colin Moriarty], [Shuhei Yoshida] and I laughed at this rumor over dinner. The Last Guardian has NOT been cancelled," Rohde assured PlayStation fans.
Phew. Crisis averted.
Back in March, Rohde also addressed rumors regarding The Last Guardian, saying it was "absolutely in the mix" at Worldwide Studios. So what does that mean exactly? Well, hopefully that we get some sort of official update during Sony's press conference tomorrow. Until then we wait patiently.
