Sony America CEO Jack Tretton may be making headlines for establishing that third party publishers can set DRM restrictions on the PS4 right now, but we need to look at something else he said. Something regarding The Last Guardian.
This won't be a surprise, no, it shouldn't be a surprise. In an interview with GameTrailers Tretton announced that The Last Guardian is on hiatus… at least that means it's not canceled, right? The Last Guardian first made its appearance in 2009 with speculated 2011 launch on the PS3. They never made that launch.
The last time we heard anything about the game was when a site called E3Insider speculated that there would be news on it today. Well, they were right about one thing, there is news on it today, but it's not the news we were hoping for.
As it has been said before, Sony is "waiting for the right time to re-introduce The Last Guardian." When will the right time be?
