Ubisoft is usually known for having a tight fall release schedule but it looks like this year will be a fairly light one. Just after the 20th season premiere of South Park last night, Ubisoft announced that they will be delaying South Park: The Fractured But Whole until Q1 2017. The high profile studio has been advertising the game fairly heavily since E3 this year, even allowing players to get a free copy of The Stick of Truth with every purchase of The Fractured But Whole.
Ubisoft didn't say much about the delay other than that they want to make sure the game is of the highest quality, like the first one. "The development team wants to make sure the game experience meets the high expectations of fans and the additional time will help them achieve this goal."
With South Park out of the holiday season, it will more likely give the game room to breathe and allow it to sell well. Ubisoft has two other games releasing this holiday, Watch Dogs 2 and Steep.
