If you plan on playing Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, you're going to need a Nintendo 3DS. Don't have one, you say? Nintendo has got you covered with two new special-edition Pokémon X and Pokémon Y 3DS XL systems, which are both available in stores today. So you can get ahead of the games and learn the ropes before you start catching all those Pokémon.
Like the games, each system features the likenesses of Legendary Pokémon Xerneas from Pokémon X and Legendary Pokémon Yveltal from Pokémon Y. The systems are available in either red or blue for $199.99.
Unfortunately, they don't include the games as those will be sold separately on their October 12th launch day. But if you don't have a 3DS, why not head out and get one of these special editions? There's certainly plenty of other great games you can pick up at the same time and play before Pokémon.
