Spend your spring break with Dead Island: Riptide

If you'd rather play games than take shots of tequila and lounge around half-naked, you can celebrate spring break next year with Dead Island: Riptide instead.

The vacation from hell returns with Dead Island: Riptide, the follow-up to last year's zombie game Dead Island. Publisher Deep Silver has set a release date for April 23 in North America.

Deep Silver also confirmed two special editions available at launch. The Preorder Edition contains an exclusive pack of weapon mods to better prepare you for the onslaught on Palanai island. The other is the Special Retailers Edition, which contains an alternate packshot and a character skin "not obtainable anywhere else." The selected retail partners that will receive this edition have yet to be revealed.

Riptide is coming for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC.
