In 2015, Marvel revealed that Spider-Man would be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe after being in the hands of Sony for over a decade. Fans rejoiced at the thought of not having to watch Sony's Spider-Man films that were more about setting up a Spider-Man cinematic universe along the lines of Marvel's than making actual good movies that mattered.
After his excellent, but brief appearance in Captain America: Civil War and hearing that his first solo outing has wrapped filming, people have been wondering when they can catch their next glimpse at Tom Holland's Spider-Man. The answer is probably not much longer!
Today, it was revealed that Sony and Marvel will be hosting a Spider-Man: Homecoming panel at a Comic-Con in Brazil! They will reveal new details about the film and *maybe* bring a new trailer. Sony isn't saying what exactly they'll be talking about or showing, but one can only imagine that we will get a trailer as December is typically when Marvel releases trailers for their summer slate of movies. The panel is scheduled to be on December 2nd.
Former Spider-Man, Andrew Garfield, recently discussed Tom Holland's take on Spider-Man and confirmed that Sony pretty much had no clue what they were doing with the Spider-Man franchise.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will release July 7th, 2017.
