Spoiler: Justice League merchandise might have spoiled Superman’s story

It's a spoiler, unless, you know, you read the comic.

****Marked as spoiler for everyone who didn't read the headline.****

Last year Henry Cavill did something interesting, he revealed the suit that Superman will be wearing in Justice League. Now, it's not weird for an actor to tease something, but he teased a very specific suit – a black suit

Superman wears a black suit after he's been killed by Doomsday in the comics, where it's detailed that his body (after death) is put into a regeneration matrix in the Fortress of Solitude. This matrix heals Superman and brings him back – though it should be noted that there's a Superboy in the comic that helps all of this happen.

Now, a bit of merchandise has detailed a bit of what is expected to be Superman's story in Justice League and it would probably be a surprise if you hadn't read the comic (or the paragraph above – or the merchandise details below). Online retailer, Superhero Stuff, has listed a new hat for sale and its description and name are fairly lengthy.

The 'Superman Black Armor Justice League 39Thirty Fitted Hat.' is based on "Superman's newly-resurrected appearance in the hit film, 'Justice League.'"

The hat's description:

In 1993, Superman died. Later that year, Superman returned.

Our Superman Black Armor Justice League 39Thirty Fitted Hat is based on Superman's costume post-death:

A black variation of the Superman suit adorned during his time in the regeneration matrix, a Kryptonian chamber that reversed the previously lethal effects of his protracted punch-em-up with Doomsday.

In the film Justice League, it seems Superman's cinematic resurrection will parallel the hit comic story, considering he returns in a stylish black costume soon after a very tense fight with Doomsday.

Now, there's a chance that they saw Cavill's picture last year and ran with it when creating merchandise for the film or they know something we don't.
