Square Enix announces beta details for Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn

Final Fantasy 14 might easily be one of Square Enix's biggest disappointments. What looked to be a high quality follow up to their previous MMORPG, Final Fantasy XI, turned out to be buggy, and at times downright unplayable. Square Enix luckily realized this and decided to right their wrongs.

Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn is the evolution of FF14 that promises to fix everything that was broken and that fans hated. So when will players be able to jump into this reborn realm? Square Enix has released a roadmap detailing the months ahead and what's in store for both the PC and PS3 versions of Final Fantasy 14.

Starting mid-February, PC gamers will be the first to access the beta servers, assuming they're chosen, and this testing phase will last about 2 – 4 weeks. Phase 2 will also include only PC's and will last about 1 – 3 weeks. Those looking forward to playing FF14 on their PS3 will have to wait until Phase 3 and 4 to get their testing time in.
